Next week, Research In Motion (RIM) is holding its first developer-centric event in Santa Clara, Calif., the BlackBerry Developer Conference (BBDC), and I'm lucky enough to be attending. That's not all: I've been asked to sit on the judging panel for a cool new related event, dubbed The BlackBerry Cool 15.
More on the event, from BlackBerryCool.com:
"The BlackBerry Cool 15 is an event we're running to give exposure to BlackBerry developers with innovative and 'cool' software ideas while providing them with a relaxed forum to interact with other like-minded people. The BlackBerry Cool 15 is a celebration of the BlackBerry development community and a good excuse to have a great time! Here’s how it will happen:
The BlackBerry Cool 15 is being organized by BlackBerryCool.com's Douglas Soltys and is sponsored by the BlackBerry Partners Fund.
Sounds great, huh? I can only speak for myself, but I can't wait!
If you're planning on attending the BlackBerry Developer Conference, The BlackBerry Cool 15 is a can't-miss event. As mentioned above, I'll be judging along with Mr. Soltys, Kevin Michaluk from CrackBerry.com, the BlackBerry Partners Fund's Rick Segal and (possibly) Hayden James from Pinstack.com. To quote the BlackBerryCool.com post, the "judging panel is a 'who's who' of the BlackBerry blogging world." In other words, this is a great way to get exposure for your BlackBerry applications. You'll be kicking yourself for a year if you miss this one, folks.
Interested developers should register online for The BlackBerry Cool 15.
I hope to see you in Santa Clara next week!
