Are more Senior IT and Business Management former Business Analysts?
One of the core competencies of the role of the business analyst is having both the understanding of the business and the capacity of technology. This same core competency parallels that of many senior level management professional on both the business and IT side as well.
Many of our senior level officers and VP’s that we work with ‘get the role of the business analyst’ and say ‘I would have been considered a business analyst if the term was around when I started my career.'
The growth of this core competency from junior level to enterprise level business analysts is becoming a key asset to organizations as employees growing within organizations. These once junior level employees are now moving quickly into management positions due to their encompassing knowledge.
It is key to invest in your BAs today because they will be your leaders tomorrow!
