Back in the mid-80's, the National Accounts Sales Manager for Houston Cellular Telephone Company was a man named Bill Coker. He was the first I ever heard "lobbying" for prepaid cellular. He went from HCTC to Monterrey Mexico as VP of Sales for the non-wireline analog carrier for northeast Mexico. I lost track after that until I saw he was VP/GM of Sprint PCS/US Unwired. He and a partner started a digital prepaid company called Simple Communications in the late 90's. Prepaid was an integral part of every company he was associated with. He has fallen off the wireless map and I am interested to know if anyone knows of his whereabouts today.
