The Dow has been the metric by which we measure the health of Wall St, and by extension our economy. As we have been watching it bounce all over the place, is it still a viable metric, or is just some strange, misunderstood number that really doesn't stand for anything?
I am not smart enough to answer that question, but I can tell you that if I ran a department or business whose metrics bounced around like that, I would probably not be running it very much longer.
What do you think?
