Former CIOs of Dell, Deutsche Bank, Avon and Lockheed Martin Join Corporate Boards of Directors

John Hummel has returned to Perot Systems today after serving as CIO of the California Prison Healthcare Receivership from November 2006 to February 2008. In his new role, Hummel serves as CTO of Perot's global healthcare unit. When he first joined Perot in 2006, he was national director of its solutions center. He left that position with Perot to take the CIO job with the California Prison Healthcare Receivership.
StoredIQ appointed former Dell CIO Susan Sheskey to its board of directors on March 31. Sheskey left Dell in August 2007 after a 12-year career with the computer maker.
Q Interactive hired Pete Dale as its CIO. Matt Wise, president and CEO of the online marketing services provider, said in the press release announcing Dale's hire that the new CIO's "fresh perspective, leadership experience and unrivaled enthusiasm made him the perfect candidate to bridge the gap between our corporate strategy and technology development." Dale joins Chicago-based Q Interactive from commodities brokerage R.J. O'Brien, where he served as vice president of information technology.
Bob McManus joined Honeywell as CIO of its security business. McManus reports to Mike Lang, CIO of Automation and Control Solutions, a $13 billion Honeywell business group. Most recently, McManus served as CIO of MediaWhiz, a privately-held online marketing company where he headed the entire IT organization. Prior to MediaWhiz, McManus was vice president of online technology at Redcats, a subsidiary of PPR (a French multinational holding company specializing in retail shops and luxury brands such as Gucci and Yves St. Laurent.) Previously, he spent over nine years at 1800Flowers. As the e-commerce company's vice president of application development, McManus was directly responsible for driving online technology. He graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a minor in business from St. John’s University in Queens, New York.
VeNotion Technologies tapped Tsvi Gal for its board of directors. Gal most recently served as managing director and CTO of Deutsche Bank Asset Management and Investment Banking. Previously, he was CIO of Time Warner Music Group and president and COO of ATT.com. In 2004, Gal wrote an article for CIO describing what it was like to move from the financial services industry to the music industry. The following year, he wrote another article on cooperating with competitors.
Mike Brumbaugh joined Mirion Technologies as its CIO. He comes to the San Francisco-based provider of solutions for detecing and measuring radiation from Vodafone. There, he headed the company's data services development division in Dusseldorf, Germany. He also served as CTO of Vodafone's global platform division in the U.S. Prior to joining the German telecom, Brumbaugh worked for a variety of other telecom companies, including Verizon Wireless as its vice president for technical services; AirTouch Cellular as its VP and executive director of IT; and Pacific Bell. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of California at Irvine.
NetJets promoted its SVP and CIO Alan Cullop to EVP and CIO on March 18. Cullop's promotion recognizes the business-focused IT strategy he developed and a variety of business process reengineering and analytics projects that
