Google employee and cartoonist Manu Cornet posted the following image to his Google+ account last week, seemingly confirming the codename of the next version of Google's Android mobile OS: "Key Lime Pie."

Starting with Android v1.5, Google began assigning codenames to its new software releases. The codename for Android 1.5 was "Cupcake," and each consecutive release was tagged with a codename that started with next letter of the English alphabet: Android v1.6 "Donut;" Android v2.0/2.1 "Éclair;" Android v2.2 "Froyo;" Android v2.3 "Gingerbread;" Android v3.0 "Honeycomb;" Android v4.0 "Ice Cream Sandwich;" Android v4.1/4.2 "Jelly Bean."
Though no official announcement has been made, Cornet's comic clearly hints that the next version of Android, be it v4.3, 4.4, 5.0, whatever, will very likely be called Android Key Lime Pie, as has been rumored in the past.
