Orrstown Bank is adding that WOW factor to customer service by incorporating their “I Spy a Wow” program on their corporate intranet. Built with the intranet software, Intranet Connections, the intranet is Orrstown’s link to excellence when it comes to employees and how they relate to customers.
The WOW program is employee driven. Whenever an employee does something exceptional to WOW a customer (internal or external) they can click on the “I Spy a Wow” form on the intranet and explain who did what to deliver a WOW level of service. Once completed, the form is set up to deliver to Training staff who manages all of the WOW entries. I Spy a Wow was created with the e-Form Builder tool that is one of the packaged applications within their intranet software.
Kurry Swigert, Product & Research Officer of Orrstown Bank explains: “Each week, the entire company starts off Monday morning with Warm-Up meetings where we focus on one of the facets of our service commitments to our customers. A part of this meeting is dedicated to an employee who has been selected from all of the WOW submissions - and the entire bank gets to recognize that individual.”
Orrstown Bank, founded in 1919, speaks of two key reasons for the bank’s longevity and success: tradition and excellence. Getting to know your customers, greeting them by name, and never being too busy for a customer are trademarks of the bank’s commitment to excellence. By utilizing the intranet to promote a WOW level of service, both employee and customer benefit and are a part of the Bank’s legacy to exceptional customer service.
