There are many bloggers in the Silicon Valley. I could verify this recently at a party thrown by a couple of very successful bloggers for other bloggers. Gee, the room was packed, and guess what? Most of the attendees were "real" bloggers indeed.
When I read a blog I like, I usually contact the author, just to get to know the person better. Thanks to CIO Magazine, I have become a regular reader of Mike Kavis' blogs (a truly sharp person on open source solutions, including Ubuntu), so when I recently read on his blog he was to attend the BEA conference in San Francisco, I asked him to call me while in town.
Mike and I had lunch together yesterday, and we really had a great time.
I encourage each of the bloggers here to meet with other bloggers from time to time. In addition to the pleasure of meeting a new person, I find it an excellent motivation to produce an always better content on my own blog.
